As a mom of young kids, I’m always looking for simple crafting activities to keep little hands busy, but aren’t complicated for me to pull together. One recent project that fit this on all counts AND kept my daughter busy was decorating placements with Paper Riot’s Funny Foods decals.
She loves working with stickers, and the decals lower the frustration factor since they are easy to take off and move around on the surface. I also love to give her the tools to be creative with some of the things that she uses on a daily basis.
Supplies needed:
- Paper Riot Funny Foods
- Silicone Placemats – this type of material makes it easy to stick and re-position the decals
Step 1
To make it easy for her I removed the staples and pages from the book. I also took off the outside of the stickers to make it easier to peel off individual stickers.
Step 2
Give your child the placemats to decorate.
Sit back and you’re done. Now my daughter enjoys sitting down for lunch at her “place” and making everyone in the family their own custom placement.
